ABOUT OUR IN-SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Ground Force Studios programs encompass the Body, Mind and Soul.
“Body, Mind and Soul are like a musical ensemble. Each must be fine-tuned, well-nourished, diligently practiced and lovingly maintained in order to reach full potential”.
Our programs are run in Early Learning and Child Care Centres, OSHC, Vacation Care, Primary Schools and High Schools around South Australia. Staff do not miss out either with completely tailored dance, fitness and mindful movement & relaxation programs available to teachers and school staff.
Our Dance, Drama and Fitness programs develop students’ ability to communicate and express themselves through play, music and movement – igniting the imagination. Our Mindful Movement & Wellbeing component encourages children to quieten their minds, practice mindfulness and gratitude, whilst strengthening their mental and emotional resilience through guided meditation, breathing exercises and yoga-inspired movements. Each program can be catered to suit the needs of all students and staff.
Our Ground Force programs are highly engaging, inclusive and fun, helping to extend and enrich students’ learning. Aimed at ages 2 and up, our programs will be sure to impress!

Dance Fundamentals focuses on warming up the body through a cardio workout, isolations of different parts of the body, and correct stretching techniques to relieve muscle tension and increase flexibility. Dance Fundamentals also incorporates the importance of musicality and timing, choreography and sequencing, team-work, listening to instructions, whilst having a ton of fun. Students also have the opportunity to create their own moves and choreography, allowing them to explore their creativity and style whilst building their confidence.
Our Ground Force instructors focus on a Hip Hop dance technique, although we can incorporate ANY dance style into your dance program. Think Jazz, Latin, Contemporary, Flashmob and Bollywood just to name a few.
Dance Fundamentals can be undertaken in a 5 to 10 week period (One 40 – 50 minute session per week). We recommend a 10 week program to really nurture and develop students’ learning, dance skills and technique.
Dance Performance focuses on learning a choreographed and styled dance routine. Students will have the opportunity to add their own flavour with their free-style moves as well as choreograph their own dance sequences with their classmates, incorporating them into the routine.
Dance Performance can be undertaken in a 5 to 10 week period (One 40 – 50 minute session per week). A 10 week program will allow for a more clean and polished dance routine.

Drama Fundamentals focuses on Mime, Improvisation and Role Play. This program allows students to engage in the whole person, boosting confidence, drawing on the imagination whilst promoting inter and intra personal skills translatable to everyday life. Students work collaboratively as they use these key elements of drama to shape character, voice and movement.
Drama Fundamentals can be undertaken in a 5 to 10 week period (one 40 – 50 minute session per week).
Our experienced instructors will work with you to gain the best possible outcomes for your students within Drama Performance. Our Ground Force team can help support and facilitate lead-role auditions, work with students to develop their voice and projection, body awareness, demonstrate great stage presence and overall, perfect their character style and maintain confidence.
Drama Performance can be undertaken in either a 5 to10 week period (one 40 – 50 minute session per week). We recommend a 10 week program for a more polished drama production.
Movement & Mindfulness
Our Movement & Mindfulness program incorporates yoga-inspired movements, breathing and meditation and relaxation techniques to meet the wellbeing needs of students of all ages. Mindful movement not only improves flexibility but also helps to reduce stress and anxiety whilst strengthening the mind-body connection, boosting self-esteem and confidence, balance, coordination, focus, concentration, and overall, improving children’s physical and mental health and wellbeing.
Like all our programs, Movement & Mindfulness is completely tailored, and incorporates fun, interesting and age-appropriate themes relatable to students. Teachers are able to choose from a variety of topics including Gratitude, Kindness & Service, Positive Mindset, Self-love and Self-care, and for the younger ones, we can also incorporate these topics with fun themes such as Safari, Jungle, Nature, Outter Space, Superheros and Travel, just to name a few.
Learning the skills to self-soothe, calm their minds and bodies, and become aware of their feelings and those of others, will help students grow into well-rounded, resilient and emotionally intelligent adults. Similarly, instilling the importance of gratitude, mindfulness and self love early on, will help children deal with anxiety, stress and self doubt as well as help them tackle the inevitable challenges of puberty, peer pressure, social media and body image.
Our Movement & Mindfulness sessions run between 30 to 60 minutes. We recommend 4 to 10 sessions to gain consistency and maximum benefits.
Fitness & Wellbeing
Our Fitness and Wellbeing program offers a variety of cardio and aerobic workouts set to 80s, 90s, 00s and current hits that will have all the teachers wishing they could join in! (Check our ‘Staff’ section for more on that!) We cover all the fundamentals of a fun-filled fitness workout for students in the middle/upper primary and secondary years. We tailor our classes to suit all confidence and fitness levels in a friendly, inclusive environment.

The Ground Force team believes that the health and wellbeing of educators and staff is just as important as the students’. You are, after all, guiding and moulding human beings of the future!
As teachers, we understand the HUGE and often underestimated role educators and school staff play in a child’s life. The pressure and workload can be intense! And it makes no sense to expect teachers to teach the principles of health and wellbeing to their students if they themselves are under stress, inactive and/ or mentally fatigued.
As author Richard Bach says “We teach what we most need to learn”. Here is your chance to breathe new life into your working day with our Body, Mind & Soul sessions.

RELAX AND REVIVE
Sessions can be run weekly or fortnightly or even monthly if it suits your staff. Enjoy a 60 minute, 45 minute or 20 minute-express session before, during or after-school. The length, content and level are completely up to you.
Sessions can be run weekly, fortnightly, or whenever you need a good workout. 20 minute-express sessions are available as well as full 60 minute ones. The length is completely up to you. Those who say they’re unfit, have no dance experience or own a pair of two left feet are especially encouraged to join in!
Our Dance performance program is specifically created for teaching staff who want to break it down and boogie for an upcoming concert or show!
If rehearsal times are difficult to organise, our Ground Force team will provide video-recorded sessions to staff to learn at their own pace and comfort of their own home or classroom.
Team bonding and personal development doesn’t get much more fun that this! Show your school spirit, have fun with your colleagues, develop your skills and have plenty of laughs doing it!
